Sometimes there is such proximity between crocodiles and possible prey that makes me think that some members of the species do not eat meat!. Here are a couple of examples:
Perhaps the crocodile knew that stork meat tastes awful?
But there are other examples where crocs have ignored other potential prey.
I am sure buffalo meat is good for crocs but probably they were too full to bother them that day.

Good post! The snake wanted some salad with the prey! U reminded me of our Kenya days when casting for bass with a frog-like lure in lake Naivasha I landed it on the shore. Before I could retrieve it and get out of an embarrassing situation, a green snake attacked the lure! Lickily it did not get hooked and I retrieved the lure! Cheers
